You would think that a politician of her stature should at least be able to put together simple sentences. Hopefully the above example was an exception, but I have a sense it isn't. In any case I think this is what the Governor meant to say:
The patriot Rick Perry dropped out and did a favor to the person whom I now consider the front-runner: Newt Gingrich. By dropping out, Perry helped the conservative cause.What would be cool is for someone to train a machine-translation (or text summarization) algorithm, to convert Palin quotes into simple prose.
